Privacy Policy

Clearsight Consulting (“Clearsight,” “we,” “our”) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and what you can do about it. Plain language, no legal theatre.
Who this covers
Visitors to clearsightnow.com and any subdomain we operate, prospects who fill out a form, subscribers to The Operator Brief, and clients whose contact data we hold to deliver services. Data belonging to a client’s end customers (orders, reviews, ad audiences inside their Amazon, Walmart, Chewy, or TikTok seller accounts) is governed by the Master Services Agreement we sign with that client, not by this page.
What we collect
From form submissions (Contact, Free Audit, newsletter): name, work email, company, role, the content of whatever you write to us, and any files you choose to attach.
From normal site use: pages viewed, referring source, approximate location (country and region, not address), device and browser type, aggregated engagement, and a session identifier. We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization and a 14-month retention window.
From newsletter subscriptions: email address, opt-in timestamp, opt-in source, and engagement (opens, clicks) so we know what to keep writing.
We do not collect government identifiers, payment card data, health data, or precise geolocation. We do not run third-party ad pixels (no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no programmatic remarketing) on this site.
How we use it
To answer inquiries, send the audit or proposal you asked for, deliver the newsletter you opted into, run the services we’re contracted for, and improve the site based on what people actually read. We don’t use your data to train AI models, and we don’t sell, rent, or trade it. Period.
Who we share it with
Only the processors we need to operate: a CRM (HubSpot), an email platform (ConvertKit), analytics (Google Analytics 4), and our hosting provider. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement and may only use your data on our instructions. We never share form-submission content with anyone outside Clearsight unless you ask us to (for example, looping in a colleague you cc’d).
Cookies
We set one functional cookie to remember your session. Analytics sets first-party cookies for visitor measurement. No advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
How long we keep it
Form submissions: 24 months from last contact, then deleted unless you became a client (in which case retention follows the MSA). Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, then 30 days for cleanup. Analytics: 14 months. Server logs: 90 days.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email hello@clearsightnow.com and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it. We answer within 30 days. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe at the bottom.
If you’re in California, the EU, the UK, or any jurisdiction with a comparable privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, and you can exercise them through the same address. We don’t require an account or a notarized request.
Security
Form data travels over TLS. CRM and email accounts are MFA-locked. Access inside Clearsight is role-based and reviewed quarterly. If we ever experience a breach that affects you, we’ll tell you within 72 hours of confirming it.
Children
This site and our services are not directed at anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for active subscribers, send a heads-up email. Older versions are archived on request.
